Edward Sanders Jr.

Piano

Edward Sanders, Jr. is a dedicated educator and pianist with over 8 years of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Known for his encouraging and structured approach, he creates an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and confident as they grow at the piano.

A Certified Audio Engineer and graduate of The Los Angeles Recording School, Edward studied Jazz Piano Performance and Music Education at Los Angeles City College as a student of the Herb Alpert Music Center, earning the Herb Alpert Scholarship four times. His professional experience includes working alongside Grammy Award-winning producer Nate “Danja” Hills and acclaimed audio engineer Marcella “Ms. Lago” Araica, contributing to projects for artists such as Whitney Houston, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, and Snoop Dogg.

With over 5 years of experience as a music director, Edward brings leadership and real-world musicianship into every lesson. His instruction emphasizes complete musicianship — teaching students to read music, understand music theory, strengthen their ear, play confidently in contemporary and gospel styles, and develop their own creative voice while building strong technical foundations.

Many of Edward’s students gain not only musical skill but also increased confidence, discipline, and a deeper appreciation for the art of music. Whether a student is just beginning or strengthening their foundation, each lesson is thoughtfully tailored to their goals and learning style.

In his words,
Every student deserves to feel confident at the piano. My goal is to give them the tools to understand what they’re playing — and the freedom to express who they are through it.

Edward’s mission is to help every student grow into a capable, confident, and expressive musician.
